In a statement addressing allegations surrounding the Al Qadir Trust case, former Prime Minister Imran Khan has categorically denied any personal or financial benefits from the trust’s dealings. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman emphasized that both he and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have no vested interests or involvement in profiting from the case that has drawn significant public and legal attention.
Speaking to media representatives, Imran Khan stated, “Neither I nor Bushra benefited from the Al Qadir Trust case in any way. These accusations are baseless and part of a smear campaign aimed at tarnishing our reputation.” He further elaborated that the trust’s primary purpose was philanthropic and aimed at public welfare initiatives.
The Al Qadir Trust case emerged as a major controversy, with allegations suggesting irregularities in land deals and misuse of funds linked to the trust. Critics have accused the former premier and his wife of leveraging their influence for personal gain, claims which Imran Khan vehemently denies.
Highlighting transparency, Imran asserted that the trust’s financial matters were managed in accordance with the law. “All activities related to the Al Qadir Trust are well-documented and open to scrutiny. These allegations are politically motivated and lack any substantial evidence,” he added.
The PTI chief also raised concerns about what he described as “selective accountability” in the country’s justice system. “This is not about justice; it is about targeting political opponents. Such tactics are detrimental to democracy and the rule of law,” he remarked.
Imran Khan called for an impartial investigation into the matter to clear the air and restore public confidence. He reiterated that he and Bushra Bibi were committed to serving the nation and that their efforts through the trust were solely focused on community welfare.
The Al Qadir Trust case continues to stir debate in political and legal circles, with many calling for a thorough inquiry to determine the facts. Meanwhile, Imran Khan remains firm in his stance, urging the public to differentiate between political maneuvering and genuine accountability.
